God Knows Everything.

One of God's attributes that gives a sense of security and strengthens our faith is the fact that God knows everything. Do you believe it? I believe that you do. Listed below are some examples, among many in His Word, with scriptures:
-He knows the thoughts and the intents of the heart (Matthew 12:25, 27:18; Mark 15:10; Luke 6:8; Hebrews 4:12).
-He knows the future behavior of humanity (John 13:11).
-He knows every sparrow that falls and every strand of hair is counted (Matthew 10:29-30; Luke 12:6-7).
-He knows the number of stars in the heavens and the name of each one (Psalm 147:4).
Nothing ... absolutely nothing or no one ... can hide from God. In fact, He sees and rewards the private consecration of sincere believers (Matthew 6:4, 6, 18). God even knows what people would have have done under different circumstances (Matthew 11:21). Since God knows everything, this powerful attribute, known as Omniscience, may strike fear or respect in the heart of both a saint or sinner. When you think about it, God is acutely aware of the sinful behaviors some may keep secret. But this wonderful truth about God's attribute of Omniscience should simply strengthen and affirm that He really loves us. In other words, God is continually aware of us. God knows everything. God knows every person past, present, and future.
You see, our knowledge of people is limited to our contact with them. Even in the age of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, 24/7 cable news, entertainment shows, the media ... in whichever form, it may give us information about people. However, our knowledge is still limited to that information.
For example, if we enjoy a close relationship with someone, say like a friend, spouse, sibling, parent ... we may assume we know him or her. But, we might be surprised to find out that the things we thought we knew about them may not be entirely accurate. Right? The truth is, we even have extremely limited understanding of ourselves. But God is not limited to a general knowledge of people. He has specific knowledge of every individual, living or dead.
God knows the paths we take. He knows every time we sit down or stand up. He sees when we wake up and He sees us when we go to sleep. He knows our current journey of faith, and He knows our future. He knows the thoughts we think. You see, we tend to make decisions and draw conclusions based on the surrounding circumstances, but God knows every thought and the motives of every heart (1 Samuel 16:7).
God knows about your battles.
God knows about your thoughts of anxiety.
God knows about your thoughts of depression and discouragement.
God knows about your hurts and hangups and shortcomings.
God understands how people can be so mean and cruel.
God knows the secret battles going on in your mind as you read this.
God knows the words we speak. If God knows something as private as our thoughts and the intentions of your heart, it seems clear He is aware of every word we speak and the motives behind it (Matthew 12:35-37).
This should be an encouraging truth because God hears every word of prayer that you speak even if you have some doubt and unbelief! God hears every prayer of intercession and travail. God heard every prayer for your lost loved one. God heard and continues to hear every prayer you prayed regarding your purpose in life.
This attribute of God should amaze us. The revelation of God's omniscience should overwhelm you. Even before I have a petition, question, or complaint, God has the answer and solution! God knows me and He knows you. God understand me and He understands you. God knows everything. You are God's prized creation and He loves you. When you mess up, don't hide or isolate. Don't give up! You can trust Him to lead you through the dark times and lowest valley. God knows everything.
God's motivation for knowing us is not driven by a desire to condemn us or punish us. It's all about His ultimate desire and love to bring us closer to Him. God in His perfect knowledge knows the way better than we ever could.
Thanks for reading. God bless.
